How do I record a journal entry?
Tap the microphone button on the Journal tab. Speak freely — Riverb will transcribe your words and generate a Mirror Moment reflection when you're done.
What is a Mirror Moment?
A Mirror Moment is a short, poetic reflection generated from your journal entry. It echoes your thoughts back in a new light, helping you see what you said from a different angle.
How does the story work?
Each journal entry adds a new scene to your ongoing story. Over time, your entries weave together into a narrative where you are the protagonist. Open the Story tab to read it.
Can I listen to my story?
Yes. Tap the play button on any story scene to hear it narrated aloud with an AI-generated voice. You can choose your preferred voice and accent in Settings.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your voice recordings and transcripts are encrypted with a key only your device holds — even Riverb cannot decrypt them. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with advertisers. During our public beta, we retain a separate backup copy of recordings to improve transcription and reflection quality, which we delete immediately when you delete your account. How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in the app and tap "Delete Account." All your data — recordings, transcripts, stories, and generated content — will be permanently removed. You can also delete your account at riverb.app/delete-account.
The app isn't working as expected
Try closing and reopening the app, or check that you have an active internet connection. If the issue persists, email us at support@riverb.co with a description of what happened and we'll look into it.
